The R.O.S.E. (Rose of Sharon Estate) Farm was started in April 2015, when Sharon Carson purchased 87 acres of land in beautiful Gloucester, Virginia. The land had been vacant for over 20 years and needed much work, but it was the beginning of Sharon’s vision to recreate her lifelong dream. Growing up at the end of the Jim Crow Era and being part of the first class that integrate the school in Lester, Sharon fully understood the meaning of perseverance. Her parents instilled the values of integrity and hard work. As a result of the family operation, the community has the option of produce, meat, and fiber raised with a mindset that respects the earth and accepts the social responsibility. The R.O.S.E. Farm provides services ranging from holistic farming, event hosting, and life coaching. The farm is a place of service to humanity and will remain rooted in the Christian tradition of love. As a result of the services they provide, the family hopes that lives are changed for the better, both physically and mentally. They are proud to have a smaller healthier footprint that heals the people and restores the land.
