Ceo of Mor-Industries and Mor-Hemp, Deborah Morton is running a 50+ acre operation that she farms with her family. The family inherited their land as airs property and was searching for ways to cultivate the land. They eventually decided on growing hemp along with produce. They now grow about 2 acres of hemp and an increasing amount of produce. Mor-Industries currently coordinates with 2020 Farmers Cooperative that provides farmer technical assistance and produce in the DC areas. Deborah sits on the Board of Directors for the Cooperative which aims to serve minority farmers with whatever their needs may be. The Morton family grows hemp and uses it for grain, flower, and processes it into alcohol. Tusk Spirits is a hemp based alcohol that the team successfully sells online and retail in ABC stores. The crew plans to grow the family business and provide the highest quality hemp products and produce to anyone in Virginia. www.tuskspirits.com
