Five Oaks Farm

Sarah Morton, 3^rdgeneration farmer, and part of the fire blazing duo of Cattle Run Farm, is now venturing to a space of her own. In Albemarle county Sarah’s new venture sits on six acres of family land where she hopes to cultivate berries and vegetables. The plot of land is located in Earlysville, Virginia where her Grandfather farmed their own 140 acres and sharecropped close to 1,000. Sarah’s family raised 12 children on their homestead where they went to school and learned to farm. The land is now divided amongst family members and Sarah is determined to revamp her piece of the oasis. She is now working on infrastructure, setting up several high tunnels and laying the ground work to help supply their growing enterprise and tap into local markets. She’s excited about raising goats, growing grapes, berries, and flowers along with the produce.
