Ralph and Sarah Morton cultivate rolling acres of land in Ruckersville, Virginia. They raise cattle, chickens, produce, blackberries, hogs, cows and more. With knowledge passed down through generations the farm is clean and organized electric fencing and color coated labels. The farm is beautifully roped into sections for all of the different animals along with produce that is sold at the local farmer’s market. The duo are activists and members of Minority& Veterans of the piedmont educating and making strides for minority farmers. They believe in building strong community through the relationship between consumer and producer. Cattle Run Farm takes pride in delivering good customer service and product satisfaction.
This year the farm plans to continue expanding its enterprise. With the success of local community events Cattle Run plans is to add an outside pavilion along with its new large commercial refrigerators. Ralph is excited about new sweet potato and corn fields adding several new offerings to their operation. Sarah has also just secured grant funding to provide the farm with a large animal equipment that will add to their capacity and output.
